I love the ultramarines Black Library does a magnificent job as is expected. But I must admit with all due respect, my Lord Guilliman is just one big computer. If you need to learn theoretical vs practical This book doesn't cover his childhood of really talk of the emperor, it's a slow drag of battle after battle with foreboding forshowdowning of the future. It well written just not what I was looking for.

A tedious story about nothing, that goes nowhere. Offers nothing new about Guilliman. I listened to this after the Alpharius book and boy does this suck in comparisson.

If I ever hear the words 'theoretical' and 'practical' used in the same sentence again my brain will explode. It's just a story about Ultramarines killing Orks. It doesn't really give any insight into Guilliman, he honestly didn't even have to be in this story. Otherwise, if you can get passed the characters saying "Theoretical" and "Practical" 72 times, it's ok. A interesting look at the beginnings of the Codex Astartes and Roboute Guilliam.

I wish it covered more than one battle. It is a short audio book but the fighting starts early and stops at the very end of the book. Enjoyed this one a lot. The book presents a glimpse look into the mind if Primarch Guiliman during an ork operation.
